Handcut Inlaid Marble Mosaic Carpet and Matching Field Tiles for a Texas Sunroom
This sunroom project was commissioned by Rhonda Vaughan Interior of Grand Prairie, Texas. This custom carpet was commissioned for their private residence in the Fort Worth Area. This piece is custom artwork created by Agape Tile LLC. The 10 x 20 foot stone rug is divided into 8 main sections in order to make this large piece more manageable for installation. There are two 24 inch center medallion inserts featuring a leaf design. There are 180 square feet of matching diagonally set square marble mosaics. All of the stone panels and surrounding 24 inch mosaic tiles are 4mm in thickness. The stone is laminated onto 4mm thick aluminum sheeting. All of the handcut, handplaced byzantine murals are pregrouted and polished. These murals are comprised of marbles and natural stones: Off White Himalaya, Uba Grey, Forest Green, Persian Pink, Rojo Alicante and Light Emperador.
